July 7th 2009 was
the 20th Anniversary of Seven Star T'ai Chi School (the original name for my school). The
D.B.A. was created and classes commenced. Twenty years have flown by. Knowledge has been aquired, ego has
dropped away, humble spiritual growth has taken its place. So many changes in my life. What I learned,
I have yet to learn. Special people crossing my path...students, teachers, assistance, friends-my Love is deep
for all. Thank you, each and everyone of you, for making it possible.

Blocked Energy
Many people don't realize that physical discomfort in the body or mental/emotional discomfort
is an indication of 'blocked energy'. What this means is: if any of these problems are left to chance may eventually
become a full blown disease, illness or infection in the body. Therefore, T'ai Chi and Chi Kung to the rescue can
begin the healing process. Both are designed to promote the free flow of 'Chi' or Energy throughout the body
with there slow, rhythmic movement and deep relaxed breathing. The result in a new energized body, free of blockages,
and improved radiant health.

The Torch....
So many times I have wondered, why is it I continue to teach T'ai Chi when times
get difficult? Then I answer my own question. I teach because I was blessed by Daniel Lee to carry the Torch of
this Art form. The Art of T'ai Chi has been around for hundreds of years in China and passed forward generation
to generation. I believe my purpose in life is to pass the Torch forward and keep T'ai Chi going for future generations.
I Believe in the healing abilities of T'ai Chi. I Believe that if everyone did T'ai Chi we would be a healthier
nation. T'ai Chi strengthens the immune system helping to fight disease, illness and infection. So, I will
bear the Torch, teaching everyone who finds me and is willing to learn this Art of T'ai Chi as it was taught to me. My
hopes are that many will come along and take the Torch as they do in the olympics and carry it forward, pure and undiluted.

Shiftng......
We all know how important Shifting is to T'ai Chi, however....Shifting is important to Life! Recently, I have been
contemplating this on one of my long walks. I had to 'Shift' my thinking. I asked the students, and they
responded. People in the N.E. want to be home at night with our families. So, we shifted our times. Class
will now begin earlier in the evening. Sometimes just a small shift in life is enough to create enormous change.
In T'ai Chi a shift in weight can make all the difference in balance. Learning to shift correctly is the secret.
So, hopefully the secret has been revealed!

Tao Te Ching Seventy-Six A man is born gentle and weak. At his death he is hard and stiff. Green plants are tender and filled with sap. At their death
they are withered and dry. Therefore the stiff and unbending is the disciple of death. The
gentle and yielding is the disciple of life. Thus and army without flexibility never wins a battle. A tree
that is unbending is easily broken. The hard and strong will fall. The soft and weak will overcome. (consider the waters hitting the rocks).
